This short tutorial shows how to customize speaker configuration within Dolby Reference Player.

Please do not skip this step, as this may result in wrong output signal placement on your speaker configuration. Using custom configuration is strongly recommended.

To start with, ensure that the selected sound card is the one you want to customize. Verify that in the “Output Configuration” panel or in the “Speaker Configuration” window. 

You can open the window in three ways:

• from the “Window” drop-down menu,
• by clicking the three dots located in the “Output Configuration” panel,
• or by using a keyboard shortcut. 
   

In the “Speaker Configuration” window, you can find your current settings. Sound card output channels are numbered.  

To start custom configuration, click on the “Custom” button.
