1.263 (12/20/2024)

Notes

Hybrik version 1.263 is our first released based on Ubuntu 22; support for Google Compute Engine or Azure Compute is not supported in this release, but will be re-enabled with the 1.265 release (Google and Azure storage are not affected)

• Updated Webkit rendering engine may have small impact on subtitle rendering when using print_subtitle filter
• Values for ffmpeg_version containing head, or experimental are no longer supported
• Docker Image Format v1 and Docker Image manifest version 2, schema 1 support is disabled by default and will be removed in an upcoming release

Features

• Updated to Ubuntu 22 base image
• Added mov atom descriptors to the general_properties result of analyze tasks when "mov_atom_descriptor_style": "full" is set
• Added support for enabling/disabling “default” and “autoselect” parameters for audio tracks when creating HLS packaged outputs
• Added support for writing x264 and x265 encoder logs to S3
• Increased character limit to 50,000 for stdout and stderr results for a Docker task
• Bitrate (btrt) box is now set automatically for mp4 outputs

Fixes

• Resolved hanging analysis and segmented rendering tasks with certain MXF file layouts
• Resolved incorrect pixel aspect ratio on ProRes output at certain resolutions when DAR is manually set
• Resolved error when embedding both CEA-608 and CEA-709 captions from a non-SCC source
• Resolved segmented rendering temp_location setting being ignored when creating ProRes
• Resolved issue where setting audio codec to “copy” when using segmented rendering could result in an audio encode with incorrect bitrate
• Resolved error when using {source_basename} in the output filename for a Dolby Audio Encoder task with DAMF sources when the source filename has more than 129 characters
• Resolved error when encoding long (3+ hour) 96kHz Dolby Atmos ADM BWF sources
• Resolved hanging transcode task with certain sources containing uneven distribution of audio packets and long durations of black video content
• Resolved hanging transcode task with certain DNxHD sources
• Resolved output duration mismatch when trimming PCM WAV outputs
• Resolved “Hybrik internal source reading error” when stitching sources with certain audio mapping configurations
• Resolved “Unable to detect bitrate” error when using MainConcept MPEG-2 v11 or v13 muxer to create an output with multiple audio and DVBSUB tracks
• Resolved “No such file” error in combiner task when creating large JPEG2000 outputs using segmented rendering
• Resolved issue where invalid wave_extensible channel order parameter was ignored with incomaptible output configurations; an error is now returned
