Dolby does not certify or approve Dolby Atmos music studios; however, we provide the Dolby Atmos Music Studio Directory to assist potential clients with finding a suitable studio in their area. The studios in this directory have self-submitted these details and provided documentation to indicate they meet our recommendations and guidelines.

The guidelines for inclusion are as follows:

• Minimum 7.1.4 speaker configuration
• Speaker system can achieve +20dB of headroom in the Dolby Atmos Room Design Tool (DARDT) at a minimum 79dB monitoring level [note: 82-85dB recommended]
• Speaker layout dimensions are equal to or greater than minimum recommendation of 3.5 m long (approx. 11.5 ft) x 3 m wide (approx. 10 ft) x 2.4 m high (approx. 8 ft)
• Speaker positions and angles are within the recommended tolerances
• Room has been calibrated

To confirm that the system meets the above guidelines, they should provide the following documentation via the Music Studio Form:

1. Completed Dolby Atmos Room Design Tool (DARDT) file
2. Photos of the installed system from multiple angles
3. Audio Interface and/or monitor controller model(s)
4. Details about room calibration (who calibrated, software/method used)

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of considerations for Dolby Atmos music rooms. We recommend reviewing the following resources to aid in the room design process. To discuss solutions that fit your needs and budget, contact your local Dolby Atmos Certified Service Partner, or join the Dolby Creators Community on Discord to hear from others who have set up their studio.
