When using the Binaural Settings Plug-in and recording or punching into a master, a Recording error message may appear:





These may appear even if the input and master input configurations have not changed.

This occurs because the plug-in has inputs up to 128 defined as Objects and the session is probably not using all of the Renderer inputs.

Inputs that are not defined in the master but are present in the plug-in will have a yellow outline, indicating a mismatch:



To set unused inputs to null (---), click the "Remove Unassigned Objects" button; this will automatically change the assignment of all unassigned objects:



If punching into a master, make any change in the Dolby Atmos Binaural Settings plug-in, which will reveal the "Copy settings from master" in the plug-in:



Once "Copy settings from master" is clicked, the input configuration in the Binaural Settings Plug-in and the Master will be identical and punching into the existing master can proceed.

If there is still a recording error, verify that no inputs in the Binaural Settings Plug-in have yellow outlines (indicating a mismatch).

Additionally, verify that no yellow status lights are on in the Renderer main window:



If any of these lights are on, you will need to open the corresponding window in the Renderer and click the ‘Copy settings from master to input’ button:
