Once you have mixed your Dolby Atmos in Logic Pro using the Dolby Atmos Music Panner, you are ready to record a Dolby Atmos master.

First, verify that the Renderer is chasing sync via LTC.

Navigate to the Renderer and create a new master file hitting command+N (control+N on PC), or by navigating to File > New Master File.



Enter a Master file name and choose your output directory. FFOA is optional. Click Create.

 In Logic Pro, make a note of the start and end time of your track. You will want to leave a few bars of silence at the head of the track so that the Renderer can engage (your start time will be when audio begins after this pre-roll).

In the Renderer, activate Record in/out and set the In and Out values to match the times from your track.



Ensure sync is engaged and arm record.



In Logic, set the playhead to the beginning of the timeline and push play. When the Record in time is reached, check the Renderer to make sure that it has started recording. Once the Record out time is reached, the Renderer will drop out of record. Stop playback in Logic.

In the Renderer, disable sync and play back through the recorded Master file to QC/verify.

If the Renderer drops out of record after a few seconds, verify that your LTC timecode frame rate and the frame rate of the renderer match.
