Starting in macOS Sonoma, Apple introduced Mic Mode settings for audio inputs and applications, which are controlled via the mic/camera icon in the menu bar.

In order to prevent audio artifacts in your Dolby Atmos mix this setting must be set to Standard for the Dolby Atmos Renderer application:

Any setting other than Standard will affect the audio going into Dolby Atmos Renderer application and may result in unwanted changes to your mix.

There is a known issue where if you change and accept the sample rate of Dolby Atmos Renderer application while Mic Mode is set to Voice Isolation, some functions of Dolby Atmos Renderer application (transport controls and attenuation) will be disabled. To fix this, set the Mic Mode to Standard and restart Dolby Atmos Renderer application.
